Lettering Pylon Signs Is Not Difficult.

Lettering pylon signs is not as difficult as you might think. Pylon signs are those signs that businesses share in a complex that has everybody’s business names on them. The amount of room that your sign is allowed is usually based on some sort of square footage you rent versus other businesses in the complex. If one business is occupying 20,000 sq feet and you are renting 1,000 sq ft, the other company gets a larger portion of the sign for their business name. All you need is the correct dimensions of the pylon sign, a clean pylon fascia surface, and you can apply your own vinyl lettering.  You can actually just letter the pylon sign as it stands, rather than having to take down the fascia.

After obtaining the dimensions of the pylon space you wish to utilize, give yourself a border of at least a few inches on the sides and a minimum of 1 inch from the top and bottom.  For example, if your opening is 12 inches by 60 inches, I would recommend a 10 inch letter with all letters equaling the total of 54 inches . ( 1 inch from the top and bottom and 3 inches from each side ) Then you would go to a sign shop and have your letters plotted out to your dimensions, or go to a craft store and buy pre made vinyl letters and space them appropriately to obtain the size you want.

It is important to remember that when you re on a ladder that it not be windy and your ladder has good footing. Window paint is another example of window signs.  You simply hire a painter to come in and literally paint your advertising message on the windows with fluorescent paint.
